Loosely set in the same world as Paradise Kiss, Gokinjo features some characters from Paradise Kiss. Paradise Kiss is currently one of the most popular shoujo titles in Japan. Yazawa has worked on several other manga series, including Lunar Quarter and Tenshi Nankajanai. -Yukari Hayasaka Yukari is the average prep-school study-aholic.. She has a crush on a class mate (Hiro). She is happy to live by her parents expectations and get into the right college, but she secretly wonders if there is more to life.And then one afternoon, Yukari is now a tip for Paradise Kiss, a group of high school fashion designers who claim that her " look" is ireproșabil for there image.Suddenly Yukari is thrust into the swiftly changing and confusing world of high fashion. He is an honors student at Yazawa High School, the Arts School all the members of Parakiss attend. He is a very talented designer, both creative and dedicated. He boasts he is bisexual, you know, the best of both worlds. He also likes to play with Yukari's emotions, but wouldn't do anything to hurt her on purpose. He is cool and collected, very suave, and he likes to trick people with half-truths. He is very detached from the world, showing little emotion. Yukari begins to see that George is really not what he appears, but still has no idea who exactly he is. -Arashi Nagase He is a punk with a dirty mouth who yells at Yukari a lot because they got off on the wrong foot at the beginning. Even though, he is a nice guy. He is Miwako's boyfriend and helps her with her cousin Alice a lot.He's the sewer of the group and is in charge of finding a model when he stumbled across Yukari. -Miwako Sakurada She is very sweet, girly, and calls Yukari "Caroline" in the beginning, because at first Yukari would not give them her name. She admires her older sister, Mikako, more than anything.Because Miwako is very child-like, she is sometimes pushed around a bit. She was once forced to choose between her two friends, Arashi and Hiro, and she wonders whether she made the right choice. -Isabella Yamamoto Isabella is a quiet, gentle, and very feminine drag queen who likes to make tea, rice balls, and is generally quiet. He is the pattern designing end of the Parakiss team. You don't see Isabella very much, making him een more mysterious. -Hiroyukii Tokumori Yukari's love interest/obsession.Hiroyuki is Yukari's classmate. He's idolized by the students there, specifically by the girls. He is smart, courteous, tall, and good looking. The kind of person that your parents would like, but you wouldn't mind dating yourself. Yukari and Hiro might actually make it as a couple but Yukari has other guys in m ind (George). Miwako, Arashi, and Hiro used to be good friends.Hiro grew up around Miwako and Arashi. He loved Miwako, and vice versa, but because she also had feelings for Arashi, she had to choose between them. Hiroyuki begins to notice Yukari, and even returns her feelings.
